Ozark Trail 73-Quart High-Performance Cooler

I don’t want any cooler water intermittently leaking and leaving food smells. The other downside to the ozark trail chair is that it weighs 31 pounds empty. It’s definitely heavier than its more expensive friends on the market.

The model is just as functional and practical as its costly rival and is very good at keeping the cold water cold and hot tea hot. Whichever you go for, you will enjoy the numerous storage options you get. There is a large insulated area in all of the soft coolers and also plenty of pockets, both on the front and the sides. The pockets on the front have a zipper while the side ones are mesh pockets. This heavy-duty cooler features a stainless steel locking plate with a built-in bottle opener and a super-seal gasket to ensure that the cold stays in and the heat stays out. It’s outfitted with Microban to prevent the build-up of bacterial odors and stains.

And the premium cooler backpack and cooler tote take this up a notch by having an EVA compression molded base. The hard coolers from this brand are built to be on par with the most premium brands. Here the ice retention is pretty impressive if Ozark’s own numbers are to be believed. The smallest hard-sided cooler is supposed to last 4.5 days, the 52-quart one is supposed to last 7 days, and the largest one is supposed to last 9 days. Ozark Trail hard-sided coolers are made of plastic that’s durable, lightweight, and fully waterproof.

Another good thing about s is that all of their metal components are made of stainless steel, which is resistant to both breaking and corrosion. Ozark Trail decided to pass up the opportunity to create a simple cooler for the medium price range to the lower price range. However, that kind of handle won’t work for the larger coolers, so they utilize side handles made of rope for those ones. If getting a great cooler at a great price means making some sacrifices, like not having it made locally, we know there are people who are willing to pay that price. However, given that it’s Walmart and they are a big box retailer they are often changing their prices. Occasionally selling them for full price, but more often than not selling them for some sort of discount.

We ended up purchasing a YETI but let me tell you how we got there. We really tried to buy a cheaper cooler but the universe wanted us to buy a YETI. Remember last summer when we spent over $100 on ice for our two week trip to Montana?
