I highly advise that a tarp be used under this (and any other) tent, as that’s where most water will get in… I have had a drop or two of water get through the floor in HEAVY downpours with blowing winds, but not in normal rain showers. Great tent for a beginner or someone who likes to travel light. In the low-cost range of outdoor shelters, the Ozark 10ft x 10ft Trail Canopy is definitely at the top in its class.
One person can use the Simple Push handle to extend the canopy so it is ready for use. Perfect for tailgating, ball games, backyard barbecues and more. Will not let anyone borrow it because I cannot find one to replace it. She fell in love with the way it goes up and folds down.
I bought this tent on clearance at WalMart a few years ago. It doesn’t leak, it has held up in severe storms, and it takes all of 3 minutes to set it up, and another 5 to put the rain fly on. I have had MANY tents (3 stay at home ozark trail chair while I use this one), and the Ozark First-up is a definite keeper! In the beginning, the spring-loaded mechanism is very tight… Might need some help the first couple of uses to get the mechanism pulled down into place.
