There was a lot to like about the Genesis Incline, including the price, its suspension and even the styling, let’s take a look at everything more in depth here. Although the two bikes in this section might both be called the ‘Vapour’ with only the epithets ‘Alloy’ and ‘Carbon’ differentiating them, there are actually significant distinctions to be made. The model number can be found on the lower portion of the seat tube just above the crank on a black and silver decal. If you’re a petite woman, the Liv Tempt 4 would be an affordable option. If you prefer a wider range of speed options the Genesis 26″ V2100 Mountain Bike might be an entry-level bike worth trying. I think smaller wheel-diameter tires would perform a little better here. This top-down forest road singletrack trail is lined with intermingling trees and has many turns. At first, I was a little concerned about whether it would cause a sightline obstruction, but as soon as the tires started rolling, I knew it wouldn’t be a problem. Before buying, all we have to do is to evaluate, these things include, what are the features, pros and cons, routine maintenance, and the accessories that come with it when you buy it.
So it is a little lighter than the Genesis 26″ V2100 Mountain Bike, and a little more flexible when dealing with off-road climbs. And as the brand has always insisted, a lower stand-up genesis bicycles height would be more suitable for women. Smoothly adjusting the gears during the ride can have a good riding experience, especially on mountain roads with up and down hills.
The Day One is still made by Genesis as a daily urban racing bike for enthusiasts of tradition. It’s now available in a steel version genesis bike with extra city comforts. Additionally, these bikes are pleasant to ride and are available in a range of body sizes and styles.
Nowadays mountain bikes tend to be flatter and wider, however the Incline offers a more standard handlebar more like my hybrid bikes. Versatility still pervades the frame, with downtube bottle bosses and mounts for a rear rack and mudguards. Although this bike can take on the commuting duties or a bit of cycle-touring, it is more suited to lively genesis bike riding in the woods and on bridleways. For those interested in dipping their toes into racing, or just want a sportier feeling bike, the Zeal range is Genesis’ entry level carbon option. The geometry is more aggressive than the endurance-oriented Equilibrium, but not quite as ‘head-down bum-up’ as the dedicated racers that are the Zeros.
The bike also offers a full suspension, which means you have shocks in the front and rear of the bike. The Genesis Incline is the bike I have the most experience with between the two bicycles, as I ended up with the Schwinn around the time the snow began to fly, and the cold moved in. In this range there are also women’s specific models – in addition to the unisex ones. With these bikes, the saddles have been changed for a women specific model as well as shorter cranks and narrower handlebars being specced to better suit female proportions. Despite being already expansive, the Genesis Bikes brand continues to grow, with the British company striking out even further to the gravel/adventure cross market.
The steel makes for a super comfortable ride, while the carbon reduces some of the weight. Former professional road and track rider Adam Blythe has a new Genesis road bike and it’s certainly provoking comment, not just because of the gold leaf finish but also thanks to the bulbous head tube. While the Genesis V2100 bike comes with great technical features that make this bike stand out, it also has a style that is very attractive to riders. This bike’s great frame and easy assembly will attract the eyes of onlookers and give you a sleek look while you are riding. The way it’s cables are designed to not bend too tight and not become bound as the suspension moves up and down, eliminates the worry of any cable tension.
Now there aren’t many things I don’t like about this bike, other than the following. For the price, the Boundary obviously has higher quality then it probably should! I’m a big proponent that every product is meant for someone, and just because a bicycle isn’t high end doesn’t mean it isn’t great for someone to get into a new sport and upgrade as they go.
The aero features of more expensive bikes are present, with cables are routed internally and the leading edges of the frame are smoothly rounded. The groupset is Shimano Tiagra with a 2×10 drivetrain while the maximum tyre size is 25c. The Vapour is Genesis’ CX race machine and there are three models available (10, 20 and 30). There’s the option of having a full carbon frame at the higher end of the spec too, or a more affordable version with an aluminium frame and carbon fork. The Tour de Fer is a steel touring-specific bike with a longer, stable wheelbase, and comes complete with mudguards and racks. The Genesis Datum is another versatile bike that could serve as a gravel-cruncher or mile-muncher, depending on the tyres you choose to run.
While aesthetically, the quality of the bike was fantastic, I did run into quality issues. The front shock squeaked when I went over bumps, and the front derailleur wouldn’t shift through all of the gears. I’m honestly not sure if it was just my bike, or if all of these bikes are that way, but it gave just enough, but not too much suspension in the rear.
