I know some will immediately dismiss my review simply because I bought this pack at WalMart. I’ve been attempting to drop weight for the past several ozark trail backpack years, mostly because my knees can’t handle it. My shelters have gotten lighter as have my sleeping system — next in line for a diet was my carry system. Funds, however, were non existent and my CFO (i.e. my wife) wouldn’t increase my discretionary fund.
Grab a hydration compatible backpack for $13.96 or Go Bag for $15.53. Some days this bag was heavier than I would have chosen it to be. Before purchasing this pack I used a more traditionally styled, and heavier, backpack for ozark trail chair daily walks.
In my search for the perfect daypack for my outdoor adventures, the OT Backpack 25L Yakutat Daypack Backpack became a game changer. I loved the cute color combination, but more importantly, it was functional and durable. Its design was thoughtful, with multiple pockets and compartments that made organizing my gear a breeze. And with its adjustable straps, it was comfortable to wear even when carrying a heavy load. All backpacks come with adjustable straps and padded shoulder straps to ensure a comfortable fit and even weight distribution. The backpacks also feature side and front pockets, as well as compartments for organizing gear and essentials.
True, I wasn’t able to remove the rain fly to watch the stars or let the wind ventilate my tent, but I was able to enjoy the day hikes without any sort of worry. In essence, I had committed to the permanent rainfly option by default and there was a certain contentedness that came with that. The Ozark Trail brand is known for offering high-quality products at affordable prices. These backpacks are no exception, making them a great option for budget-conscious outdoor enthusiasts who still want functional and reliable gear for their adventures.
We had great weather – not too hot and not too cold – but it did rain for about 5 minutes. My friend chose to not put up his rain fly betting on the perfect weather to continue while enjoying the stars at night. During those five minutes of rain, he was a little more stressed as the risk of a wet sleeping bag had not been completely mitigated and he rushed back to the campground.
