It is great to hear from a fellow Huffy cruiser enthusiast! That’s so great you rode your 2003 FrankenHuffyTrailKroozer across Missouri. I am even familiar with the stretch of the Katy Trail near St. Louis, as I’ve biked and ran on it while visiting my girlfriend out there.
Aside from trashed tires and one flat tube, it mostly needed just a cleaning to make it presentable. I shelled out for two new, slightly wider tires (no whitewalls), tubes, and handlebar grips, removed the decals, and added a bell and reflectors I already had. The front fork and chainguard were a very dull silver (a.k.a., gray) that detracted from the look of the chrome fenders, so I sprayed on two coats of Rustoleum gloss white. This cruiser bike is made in a vintage style, with a seafoam green color to match. If the bike is single speed or internal hub geared, chains with internal width of 1/8″ / 3.2mm are usually used. This is probably what you need. This turned out to be one of my fondest adventures.

Single speed and mulit-speed, done with multi-speed hub (sometimes called internal gearing, hub has a single drive gear) is usually 1/8″ width size 1/2″ spacing, generic stuff.

Chains come in one length and are shortened to the appropriate length for the bike by removing links and joining the ends. A special tool is needed to push out a pin to shorten the chain.

Their upright riding position, wide handlebars, and cushioned seats make them a favorite for anyone looking to enjoy the journey as much as the huffy cruiser destination. This resulted in the tubes escaping out of the tire carcasses and bursting. Spontaneously exploding tires are not a good thing.
