I contacted Wal-Mart (1-800-WALMART) to see where I could get a replacement pole for the tent. They are idiots and seemed like they didn’t want to help me by supplying me with the manufacturer’s ozark trail canopy phone number. Absolutely no offer to resolve the issue. Absolutely no apology for the poor quality of the product. When I got the thing home and deboxed it, the reality began to set in.
I came in from work one day and to my surprise it was 60 yards away from me all torn up from landing on my neighbor’s spiked fence. It was torn up pretty bad so I decided to trash it. Now and then I walk into a store, it tends to be named ___Mart, and buy something I know is going to bring nothing but grief and heartbreak. Yes, I know it will, so what gives? A Pavlovian reaction to super-size doses of advertising? Greed, optimism, stinginess, and materialistic guilt thrashing together in a dance of futility that leads straight to the checkout counter?
I had to use every knot I’ve learned from rock climbing. There’s shade, and fewer bugs than outside the screenhouse. I do have some reservations left, though. I wonder what will happen when the wind comes. Will I come home and just find the screenhouse gone, or will I see it blowing around in the street, trailing pipe segments? What about the rain, or the potential for 120-degree heat?
It gets used very hard every summer. It’s starting to wear out and I’m looking to replace but can’t find one anywhere. Can someone point me to the person please. Tried to buy replacement parts but they were discontinued. The screening and roof are all in excellent condition, along with all the poles, etc. With two more roof poles, I’m sure this could be prevented.
Also, one of the parts broke before using it one time. I have been trying to replace it ever since I lost it in a wind storm. I put it up in my yard for ozark trail canopy my now wife’s bridal shower. I had it spiked down and secured really good. It looked wonderful in the yard so I decided to leave it for a while.
We will not replace the 3-way hubs again. Had the screen house for 4 years. A gust of wind probably around 50 MPH took it down. Broke all four corner hubs and bent all 1b poles beyond repair. We loved it when it stayed together.
No apology, no offer for a resolution. The product is garbage and the customer service is worse. This is totaly wrong that a company doesn’t keep parts in stock. I was told to try and return it to the place I purchased ozark trail chairs it or wait the 4-6 weeks. Well I’m a camper and I intend to use this weekly. The rest of the process was funny too, with wimpy frizzy guylines, and inexplicable bits of plastic that are supposed to tighten them.
