There are many reasons why it was great, most of all was our tour director, Renier. He was a delight, went above and beyond what I and others would have expected. He was knowledgeable, conversant, and just a wonderful human being. Additionally, we had a very cohesive group of 36 people, and we bonded well.
All of the hotels were top tier, but the Angata Serengeti camp took it to another level. The staff greeted us with a cool mongoose bmx towel, a drink and a song. After dinner they made a fire, and we were able to sit under the stars listening to the sounds of animals.
