The Yeti external temperature has risen to 126.5deg, the highest external temperature recorded all day. The Orca records a 123.2deg reading and the Ozark Trail has hit 124.8deg. The Yeti has now drained 16 ounces of water and the remaining ice is turning to slush. The Orca has drained 15 ounces and the Ozark Trail 14 ounces. You will be happy to know that unlike stainless steel water bottles of the past, these insulated tumblers won’t freeze your hands when you have cold drinks or burn them with your hot beverages. Unfortunately, like most all water bottles and tumblers, they are made in China. Ozark Trail tumblers are not dishwasher safe thus you will have to clean it the traditional way which is by hand washing. While it cannot be denied that the Yeti Tumbler is a great tumbler for keeping beverages cold or hot for an extended period, it is also hard to deny that it is pricey. You can see in the image below that the thermos on the left has the hotter water, however the heat signature on both Tumblers is only present inside the Tumbler. This leads to a short time to enjoy the drink or have no way but endure an unfavorable experience. I also took into consideration how cold or hot to the touch each tumbler was when filled with liquid and tipped each one over to see if they would leak. Watching ice melt was probably the most difficult task of the tests I performed—only because it seemed to take forever for the ice to melt in each tumbler. I started the test first thing when I got to the office and was waiting for hours on end.
After enduring the highest external temperature recorded during the test, the ice remaining in the Yeti Rambler has melted.
