Now a few years later I erected it in the backyard just for fun. I have pitched the tent twice in my back yard and found that I could pitch it by myself in about one hour. I watersealed the seams, as per the instruction sheet inside the carrying bag but I have not been rained on yet. Overall this is a wonderful tent that has held up well to many years of family camping.

Let me just tell you this, it doesn’t make a difference what model your tent is. The main thing is is that the zippers that you put in these tents are so substandard that it doesn’t last more than one or two camping trips. You set a new low in tents and the damn zippers you put in them. What are they plastic or made out of pewter. And before you guys cop an attitude, I have been camping since I was at least 4 years old and I am now in my mid-50s. After first removing the models that failed the structural tests, we slept, watched the stars, and ate our meals in all of the tents, as well as planned hikes from them. In a sheer stroke of luck for this test, we are having a very aggressive heatwave in Southeast Michigan with temperatures around ozark trail canopy the 90’s during the day and staying in the 70’s overnight. I’m using my North facing deck as the staging area which receives direct sunlight at almost all hours of the day. I also placed a small weather system on the deck rail to help get a sense of how hot surface temperatures are in the area.
The Ozark Trail canopy is lightweight and easy to set up or take down, making it a popular choice for day trips, picnics and even overnight camping. Understanding how to properly use the canopy makes a big difference when you are setting it up or taking it down. The weight of this Ozark Trail is lighter than most of the same size alternative steel frame canopy tents, coming in right about 29 lbs. An argument can be made as to whether this is good or bad.
I came on this website trying to find a replacement pole and after reading all these poor ratings I am going to take it back to Walmart and Get My Money Back on it. One trip I got rained on for two days, slight leak near power inlet but just a few drops. I did not waterproof seams so that’s on me really. I wound up driving into town, a 30-mile round trip, to buy a tarp with which to cover it, which cost me half again what I had paid for the tent. A good thing, too, as later that night it came a-flood.
