After trying it out at 450 mm, I liked the shorter rear end for our terrain more. I think it’s also why people get addicted to ultra-racing and eke themselves to the edge of the human experience. These efforts teach us more about ourselves and the reality we inhabit for this brief moment; a falling leaf on a windy day is but a blink within epochs.

It has a 100-pound maximum rider weight limit and is simple to assemble. It has anything they’ll need to travel safely and stylishly packed inside. Seeing Margus Riga’s photos of the bike in the BC backcountry used in the marketing images inspired me to ride the Instinct on big, hard, solo outings this spring once the upper mountain trails began to thaw from snow.

It’s easy to conflate exposure and the resulting flooding of endorphins with divine intervention or speaking to the godhead. Yet there’s a lot to be said for questioning one’s beliefs in an attempt to gain perspective and, thus, a better understanding of what drove us to such dogmatism! I want to adapt, not adopt, my opinions and perspectives toward cycling vis a vis, questioning the very reasons why I formed them in the first place. The KTM 390 DUKE  gets a boost of ‘badassery’ for 2024. Its all-new aggressive looks really back up its characteristic razor-sharp handling, capable 399cc engine, and advanced tech. This incredibly nimble performer is just as comfortable dominating the city’s back streets as it is smashing apexes on more open twisty roads – NO BULLSHIT!

Welcome to the wonderfully curious world of the ultra-exclusive £95,000, rotary-engined track bike with a power-to-weight ratio that would shame MotoGP machinery. At this stage it’s ‘just’ a prototype and there’s plenty of development work still to come. Defined by the ‘new’ version of Norton as a road-going sportsbike, the V4SV has been ridden around Mallory Park by Michael Mann from BikeSocial who also spoke to one of Norton’s chief engineers, James Ward. If you plan to run your bike down, the charge time from flat is also in the 4 hour range as well.

I ride this bike almost every day and the battery has not given out on me so far. I have used this bike to help round up my neighbors cows from the orange groves when ever they decide to take a tour. I am very satisfied with this bike and I recommend it to anyone who likes to ride a bike without all the hassles of having to do all the peddling yourself. There is a dedicated regen brake to slow the motor down, which recharges the battery at the same time. In the end, I chalked this up to why the Instinct descended so planted and smoothly and was able to lock the rear shock out on climbs to all but eliminate pedal strike.

hyper bike has continued its commitment sponsoring riders, teams, events, and series. It became obvious that if Hyper was to continue to progress new opportunities would need to be explored. Hyper has since become a major player in the bicycle mass market, and in specialty sporting goods offering BMX Bikes, Mountain Bikes, and other products to a wide range of consumers. The bike has a duality; calm and centered on ascent and eerily smooth, controlled, and fast on the descent. This sensation, paired with the flexy frame and less hollow-feeling trail resonance I often experience with carbon bikes, pushed my preconceptions of how they ride. For me and my riding style, a bike ought to carve smoothly with limited input, not abruptly, resulting in a jarring riding experience.

There’s also this hollow and vapid feeling to the ride quality when dancing through tech terrain at high speeds. I’m a fan of metal, both in music (derp) and as a chassis material, and it’s been really fun to ride various metal full-suspension bikes. I believe metal full-suspension mountain bikes offer a connected and considerate trail riding experience. My interest lies within sustainability; how long will the frame be on this planet, under the body of some-body, and not in a landfill? And finally, steel/ti/aluminum frames just ride differently.

The box itself weighed over 50lbs, so if you aren’t comfortable moving around that much weight, grab a friend to help you bring your bike inside or where you plan to assemble it. Overall, this bike is going to be a perfect addition to camp and our hunting lease. We have two and are looking to secure hyper mountain bike a couple more to provide all of the hunters at camp the independence to be able to come and go as needed from their tree stands without waking the dead with a loud gas powered engine. Hyper Bike Company has a really large offering for everyone in the family, with bikes for kids and adults.

These first rides of the season are always physically and mentally demanding for me. I try to take the winter months easy and allow space for my body to heal from aggressive riding patterns in warmer seasons. Instead, I focus on core-building exercises at home. But that means that come springtime, I am out of riding shape.

Lithium-ion batteries can experience performance issues once they get to a state of having no charge, so a quick charge every so often will keep your battery healthy long term. Out of the box the manufacturer recommends that you charge the Ebike for a minimum of 4 hours before use, which I started before assembling the bike. True to the manual, after the 4 hour charge time was complete, I was ready to roll with full power available to me. I’d say that you can comfortably expect the ride time of your hyper Ebike to live up to the manufacturers description. Hyper states that the MTB Ebike has a battery life of 1 hour or 20 miles and I tested this out to see how my bike fared in the wild.
