Come enjoy a multitude of recreation opportunities throughout the year, from biking and boating to cross-country skiing and ice fishing. Take a swim at one of our beaches; get soaked at the Splash ‘n’ Blast; or just spend the day fishing, hiking or picnicking along the water.

Two competitive disc golf courses are located at Kensington Metropark.
We welcome all ‘electrically assisted pedal cycles’ (EAPCs) but any electric bike that does not meet the EAPC guidelines along with motocross bikes, quads and scooters are not permitted. Follow our 9km family cycle trail using shared use forest road or 13km of single-track for mountain-biking, there’s lots to explore around this 2000 acre forest. There is an old 7.6-mile NORBA Championship course at Unicoi State Park that was abandoned several years ago. Reviews claim this trail is the most wild and most raw ride in the area due to extremely steep ascents and descents, boggy mud, sharp switchbacks, and dangerous washouts. But after going to the gym and completing several CrossFit workouts each week, the rides became harder and more tedious. Each hill burned out our already fatigued legs and around the 4-mile mark, we’d head back to the car with stiff, cramped muscles.
