SE BIKES Powered By BikeCo

It’s not that I am a lazy person, it’s more that I was considering how I planned to use this bike. In my mind, I was envisioning a cold November evening having hunted all day and facing a ride back to camp with all hyper mountain bike of my gear. Hyper Bicycles has a long history in the sport of BMX, including a National Pro Championship in 1993, delivered by Eric Carter. This early success helped to establish Hyper as a major player in BMX.

Out of the box the manufacturer recommends that you charge the Ebike for a minimum of 4 hours before use, which I started before assembling the bike. True to the manual, after the 4 hour charge time was complete, I was ready to roll with full power available to me. All that was required on my end was installing the handlebars, pedals, and battery. The Hyper MTB Ebike came in a pretty large box, but that is to be expected when ordering any type of bicycle online. The box itself weighed over 50lbs, so if you aren’t comfortable moving around that much weight, grab a friend to help you bring your bike inside or where you plan to assemble it.

I have tightened it a few times and it now finally stays in place, but it can be dangerous when it randomly slides over while riding. It has a dual steel suspension frame (front fork shocks and strut on the frame located under the seat area) that provides a comfortable ride for the 26′ Hyper Shocker Bike, even on off-road surfaces. Speech wheels, resin platform pedals, and a rear derailleur are other elements of this hyper mountain bike. In terms of the 20 mile claim, we were able to easily accomplish this in city streets with minimal inclines.

What I found with the Hyper Ebike, is that pedal assistance in this case does not mean that you are putting in a tremendous amount of effort to use the motor. All that is required of the rider is a quick revolution of the pedals every so often to keep the motor engaged and working for you. If you are maxing this bike out at weight capacity and going up a steep hill, you will need to put a bit more effort in. There is only so much a motor can do and you shouldn’t expect an Ebike to have the same towing capacity as an ATV. Something to consider with this Ebike is that it is not operated by a throttle like some of the more expensive options on the market.

The Hyper MTB Ebike offers pedal assistance, which means you will be an active participant in your ride. This was one of the only things that I was skeptical about when purchasing the Hyper MTB Ebike. I had not used a pedal assist Ebike and so I wasn’t sure just how much effort would be required from me as the rider.

Highlighting the fact that the Hyper bike has a complete suspension system is the key characteristic. Proof of purchase is required in order to get an exchange or a refund. “At Topeak, exciting new ideas for accessories are spinning at full speed and driving us ahead in a never ending cycle of innovation.”
