Ozark Trail Sun Shelter Beach Tent 8 x 6 with UV Protectant Coating

Your tents are not even good for more than two or three camping trips before the 10 has to be replaced because of your substandard zippers you put on the front door. I have had them break while pulling on them. There is a large space between it and the top of the tent that might be a trap for strong wind so the fly gets ripped off.

The only place I put up the tent was in the backyard. We must have had some wind but not ozark trail sun shelter tornado force/ hurricane force winds. I have block walls all around the property.

The short pole supplied for that protrusion splintered in two places and poked about four small holes in the black fabric of the laundry bubble. Rather it should have been a large pocket ozark trail screen house on the inside of the tent that requires no pole at all. The Ozark Trail 8×8 Instant Sun Shade did exactly what we needed it to. It kept us out of the sun when we didn’t want to be in it.

Great tent, price, and versatility, kudos to Ozark Trail. I would recommend that if you want to get a family sized tent in this category, to check other tent makers and purchase there. It says the most comprehensive “stay dry” technology on the market to keep you drier and more comfortable in wet weather. Well, let me tell you that you will stay wettier than anything if you stay in them. So I have wasted around $400 in a year and a half trying to get a tent that don’t leak.

We are adding all kinds of great carnivorous plant content. Go check it out and see if there is anything you like. We also plan on using this at football games in the fall. It’s often raining and it seems like this will also make a great shelter out of the rain. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it beats sitting in the actual rain trying to control an umbrella. You unfold all the poles and make sure to extend them out.

Once we tried it at the lake wind came up, off comes the tarp that with a light rain everything got wet. It comes loose easily enough but over time this has put lots of little holes in that flap. Doesn’t craftmanship mean anything anymore.

It was the perfect size bag to hold water bottles and a few other important things in it. The bad news is the rain leaks, the “GoBeDry” rain protection system just does not work. I sprayed the tent after the first use (I feel a tent should get a test run without water sealant the first time then if it leaks I will spray it with sealant). This tent leaked a little the first time after only one hour of rain. Then after putting sealant on the sides and rain-fly with spray and seam seal stick it still leaked. Lastly after only five times using it the shock cord pole for the rain-fly broke (the cord snapped).
