By now, you should have a pretty good idea of where you stand. One of these bikes should meet your needs and your budget. Just as there is no one type of commute or commuter, there is no singular type of commuter bike. It used to be a typical city bike could be described as having upright geometry, flat pedals, minimal gearing, skinny tires, and a comfortable seat (not as oversize as that of a cruiser bike, not as narrow as a road saddle). But thanks to new technology and a greater demand to live a two-wheeled lifestyle, the category is sprawling. Available in several sizes, the MX bikes from the venerable race brand Redline have been heavily modified to incorporate many desirable features from the upscale Proline series.
Race bikes feature 20-inch wheels on all models, but the components and frame are sized dependent on age and height. Youth race bikes start from a Micro size for very young riders and offer a range of sizes through to expert mongoose bicycle XL. Pro size and upwards are considered adult bikes and are usually offered up to a Pro XXXL or larger for very tall riders. The Larkspur 1 is a comfortable, cruisy, mixte-inspired bike that delivers big doses of fun.
The Ace is Priority’s fixie with a touch of class. It’s designed for commuters who like a little pep in their daily ride but aren’t fans of bike maintenance. Recreational-focused riders will do fine with the easier gear ratio and budget-friendly parts of the $499 Ace of Clubs (which also comes in a Pantone limited edition for a fifty bucks more). Performance-minded riders will appreciate the Ace of Spades for its carbon fork and seatpost, and higher gear ratio.

As a taller person, I think I would possibly put higher rise bars on it eventually. All in all though, I’d most likely just leave it it until I mongoose bicycle significantly damaged or broke anything on this bike before I’d invest in any upgrades/replacement parts. The bike has almost totally cured me of the aging MTBer’s bad habit of hanging off the back of the saddle when things get hairy. If you hang off the back of the Mongoose Fireball Moto you go wrong.
Since Mongoose only offered these bikes in the continental USA they have been working hard to find a way for people in Canada, Alaska/Hawaii, Mexico, UK, ect, to get their hands on them and that’s where we come in. Youth freestyle bikes are sized depending on the diameter of the wheel staring at 12” all the way through to 18”, at a 20” wheel the bike is considered an adult size. The Mongoose Title Elite is an affordable mid range complete bike based around a frame that’s capable of mixing it with the big dogs among the elite on the RedBull Pump Track and UCI World Cup circuits.
