Schwinn Coston CE electric bike review: I love these awesome side lights!

The Coston and Marshall e-bikes also have lights along the battery for additional visibility and a sleek, modern look. Most Schwinn e-bikes include wide tires, which provide extra grip and stability. They also provide a smooth ride for added comfort – a great feature when you can ride farther than ever before. Headlights, taillights, and integrated frame lights help you see and be seen in low-light conditions. Electric bikes put extra power behind every pedal so you can ride farther, take on bigger hills, and enjoy cycling more than ever before. In terms of other innovations, Giant also introduced its Maestro suspension in 2006.

As mentioned above, you do have to start pedaling to engage the electric assistance though you don’t have to pedal much to approach max speeds. Nonetheless, I wish there was a way to zip around town without having to pedal at all. Despite my desire to only bike for exercise, I do admit I get lazy sometimes. After leaving the cemetery, I pedaled a county road that unrolls over five hilltops with valleys in between. On the downhills, I went to 0 assist and flew down, hitting 36 mph on one of them.

You also know first-hand how difficult it is to find pants, a comfortable bed or a bike. But don’t worry, The Coston CE is the best electric bike for tall riders. Keep in mind that e-bikes are built for all different types of riders, from casual cruisers to high-octane adventurers. Also know that there are bikes equipped with features that are specifically designed for kids, women, and older riders. Whatever you want to do on your e-bike, and whatever type of riding you intend to do, we’ve got you covered.

I understand that I’m a big guy, and I’m also about 50 pounds over the maximum advertised weight for this bike. I was probably never going to get 35 miles out of this or any other bike. That being schwinn ebike said, I also didn’t get much extra range beyond miles, even after I set the pedal-assist at level 3. In the past, the range you got depended on how much work you were willing to put into it.

The “Campus” is the most basic in Schwinn’s 2008 electric bike line, but the term basic does not do it justice. Its a very attractive and well-made vehicle; solid construction, integrated front & rear fenders, reflectors, front & rear brakes, 21-speed Shimano drivetrain, twist-shift grips and a leather saddle. The standout features are the integrated LED frame light, head, and taillights, plus fenders, a rear rack, and a storage saddle which isn’t included with any other electric Schwinn bike. The Marshall has a 6061 aluminum frame with internal cable routing, along with JAK 7 mechanical disc brakes with a 180mm front rotor and 160mm rear rotor. At the front of the Schwinn Marshall is a 27.5”, Hi-Ten steel fork with 100m travel.

The JAK 7 mechanical disc brakes with 180mm front rotor and 160mm rear rotor. While the Marshall has only an integrated LED frame light and headlight, with a battery taillight, the Coston CE has an integrated LED frame light, with head and taillights mounted to the included fenders. This creates a more seamless look and functionality with both the front and rear lights.

Specific add-ons like fenders, a rear rack, and a cushioned seat make Schwinn e-bikes some of the most comfortable electric bikes on the market. You’ll need to consider the type of terrain and style of riding you prefer, as well as how far you want to ride before recharging the battery. For example the Healy Ridge and Ridgewood e-bikes are great for trails and other off-road rides, whereas the Mendocino is perfect for casual cruising around the neighborhood.

The battery locks securely to the mount and its casing has a bit of a lip near the top for secure lifting and carrying. This pack weighs around 5.7 lbs which is less than half a pound more than the smaller 11.6 amp hour pack schwinn beach cruiser used on the Monroe 250 model. I love how it’s positioned low and center on the frame to improve stability and provide room for the bottle cage bosses and a space for you to lift and hang the frame on some car and bus racks.
