For most people, being able to keep ice for 3 days or more is plenty. And it makes s great for any weekend outing. When it comes to premium coolers, travel mugs, and insulated tumblers, Austin-based Yeti is probably the most well-known name in the game. Ozark Trail, on the other hand, is a Walmart-owned brand under which the company sells similar products, although at much lower prices. If you are looking for a functional and durable air conditioning unit look no further than the wholesale ozark trail cooler range at Alibaba.com.
The next essential piece to a cooler that can hold ice for long periods is a thick rubber gasket. Sure enough, Ozark Trail has sourced a freezer-grade gasket that is eerily similar to what you will find on much more expensive coolers on the market. This plain-Jane lowball made by Walmart and sold under the Ozark Trail brand name is actually a pretty ozark trail cooler good alternative to the model described above. For almost $20 dollars less, you’ll be getting a product that is rust-proof, sweat-free, and well-insulated. You also might want to check out other Yeti coolers, such as the Yeti Soft Cooler or the Yeti Hopper Backflip Cooler. However, I don’t think these Yeti coolers come even close to the Yeti Tundra.
Another issue people have had is that these coolers go in and out of stock frequently. Obviously if you want you want to buy them for a discount, but it’s hard to know exactly when this will be. The 26-Quart version doesn’t have any drain plug at all, meaning the only way to empty the cooler is to tip it upside down.
There’s a tick on that little detail on Ozark’s part because their coolers are, in fact, rotomolded. Well, we are always hunting for new cooler brands to review. So imagine our joy when we stumbled upon this little gem of a brand. The Ozark Trail cooler brand is sold mostly in Walmart stores. The coolers are less than half the price of Yeti coolers, so I fully expect them to not be perfect. But for their price they perform pretty well are are overall pretty great coolers.
The double-walled vacuum insulation of this model can and will keep your drinks hot or cold. However, don’t expect spectacular results – it is, after all, a lot cheaper than Yeti’s offering. Weighing 8.8 ounces, this lightweight lowball is made out of stainless steel and is available in only one color – silver.
Ozark Trail coolers are often equipped with accessories that make them even more functional. Most models include a handy bottle opener to make opening beverages easy. Some hard-sided models also feature a molded fish ruler on the lid for fishermen, as well as two to four molded drink holders to prevent your drinks from getting knocked over.
How does this compare to some of the premium coolers on the market such as Yeti? We think it’s right up there with Yeti and at just a fraction of the cost. It’s made of heavy-duty polyethylene that is virtually unbreakable. The construction rivals that of the Yeti cooler and yet it’s a fraction of the price. We’ve put ours through the ringer the last several months and it’s stood up to daily use from van life. We like the sharp edges and progressive appearance of the ozark trail chairs.
