Ozark Trail Tents Don’t Miss Out on These HUGE Markdowns!

I have been looking to replace it and am unable to find anything of comparable quality. To the person looking for the rain fly, I kept mine along with the poles. We will be upgrading next summer season but only for lack of space as the kids get bigger and/or want their own tent. As for any tent, I would recommend an additional tarp on top and on the ground, if you think you will be camping in the pouring rain for several days straight. It has lasted us through rain storms, thunderstorms and wind. It is quick and easy to put up despite being a pretty big tent.

With two sides being completely mesh, with no zip-up windows, camping in FL with it is impossible. I also bought a heavy duty tarp to put under the tent when I set it up to protect the floor of the tent from being damaged by sharp sticks, or pieces of glass etc. that may be on the ground. The tarp also makes it warmer sleeping by having that extra barrier between you and the ground. I ozark trail screen house was concerned about waterproofing and I was not disappointed, in Trinidad (W.I.) the weather can change suddenly because of a change in rainfall patterns, the dry season is no longer dry. Well three times we camped through very heavy rains one shower lasted about six hours, one all night, whilst the other campers were running to put up extra covers we my wife and I were dry and snug.

First off, dome tents are typically less expensive since they have fewer total parts and less sophisticated frames. Second, dome tents tend to fare better in bad weather because they’re rounded shapes are more aerodynamic. Ozark Trail tents are pretty much all “fair-weather” shelters, but dome tents get the advantage here. It’s a cool tent all around, but our favorite feature has to be the 360-degree views delivered courtesy of this yurt’s giant mesh windows. There are three of these large floor-level windows along the walls of the tent, plus the giant mesh doorway that can be left open in good weather.

I’m not sure how it will hold up in super windy conditions as I have not been able to test that yet. We took it out of bag carrier it came in, and were able to get it assembled in about 5 minutes. The box says 30 seconds, which will be true every subsequent time we now set it up. In fact, even though this tent is one of the highest-rated and most popular Ozark Trail tents, it’s still plenty affordable at just over $100. On the other hand, I’ve had some of my Coleman Tents for about 3 to 4 years now, and I never noticed any of the tent fabric becoming sticky.

The legs on the pole that went through the sleeves farthest away from you should face in your direction, and the legs on the closer sleeve should face away. Connect the poles to a metal pin attached to a ring at each corner of the sun shelter. Finish by using the provided clips and ties to secure the tent fabric to the poles. While Ozark Trail tents are one of the least expensive family camping tents on the market, the waterproofing isn’t the best, the features, quality and lifespan of these tents aren’t that great. And for Coleman tents, they’re a little pricier than Ozark Trail tents, but you get better waterproofing, better features, and a better quality tent all around.

All Ozark Trail poles are either steel alloy or fiberglass, and the fabrics used throughout the tent are typically on the thinner side. Again, not a deal-breaker, but don’t expect these tents to stand up to the same use and abuse as their premium alternatives from brands.
