Kent Cruiser Electric Bike Worcester, Mass Electric Bike Solutions, LLC

With a price of $1,498, Kent’s mid-drive e-bike certainly isn’t competing with the several thousand dollar models that use German mid-drive motors, and so it likely opts for a Chinese motor. That isn’t a bad thing, as many riders (including myself) have been very happy with lower-cost mid-drive motors. I have a Truckrun motor on my daily rider city e-bike, and it works wonderfully. In the case of Kent’s mid-drive electric bike, seen above, it’s not clear exactly which 250W motor is used. Nicer (i.e., more expensive) e-bikes tend to use fancier mid-drive motors like those made by Brose, Bosch, Yamaha, and other major German or Japanese manufacturers. Every bike is given a safety check and any non-functioning parts are replaced.

On the gravelly bits, the ebike performed well, kicking in enough power to keep the momentum going on the climbs and cutting off on the downhills. Everything was going great until I encountered a 11%, 6-degree incline. Even while pedaling and in the highest level of assist, the bike barely had enough torque to push me up the hill. At one point, I smelled burning plastic when it hit me that the smell came from the motor, which was burning hot from overuse. I’m not an influencer, and I don’t want you to visit my website or youtube channel. I’m just a guy who rides MTBs and wanted to get an ebike bc I’m tired of pedaling uphills on long trails.

Kent Bikes often come with accessories such as kickstands, water bottle holders, and rear racks. These accessories add to the functionality and convenience of the bike. Lukas also said if riders do not park their vehicles in the correct zones they will continue to be charged until it is corrected. This system will hopefully stop users from leaving their vehicles in trash cans and on top of roofs. Students and community members around Kent’s campus will have a new way to get around starting March 7. The Stay at the Forest Edge is the perfect location for mountain biking at Bedgebury Pinetum.

Generally speaking, battery’s discharge performance is better in a higher temperature. While the Electric Cruiser was lighter than most e-bikes I’ve tested over the years, I would still hate to have to haul it upstairs or lift it onto a car rack. The bike comes about 75% pre-assembled, and I only needed to attach the front wheel and fender, handlebars and saddle. Things started off on the wrong foot when I realized some of the seat post assembly pieces were missing. (Luckily, my local bike co-op was able to hook me up with the needed parts!) But that was really the only major problem with assembly.

They are a great option for students, employees, and visitors to Kent State University. For a little more money, the Schwinn Coston DX provides a more complete spec list and a more powerful motor. Schwinn also offers a Mendocino cruiser, though this looks more vintage than beach styled. The 10.4-amp hour battery promises around 1 hour 20 minutes of run time, or around 25 miles, using the electric assist at varying levels over the course of the ride. The Kent Electric Cruiser is a very pretty bike, with the removable Samsung lithium-ion battery integrated into the frame.

Popping a tube wouldn’t be so bad, except I had to walk the bike the remainder of the trail. Because its battery is mounted underneath its rear rack, SixThreeZero Around the Block e-cruiser has more of that classic beach cruiser look. Speaking of steps, the step-thru frame comes in only one size but should fit most riders five feet and taller. Kent currently offers three electric models for adults, plus one for kids.

He’s raced downhill and enduro at a high level, spannered at mountain bike world cups, and also written a book called Mountain Bike Maintenance. He’s appeared in both print & online major media publications across the Uk, France, and Japan (and even appeared on French Television). Pedro loves a good adventure and is often settling random challenges like riding down Mount Fuji, swimming across Lake Geneva, and hitchhiking across America. Overall, Kent Bikes is a reliable and affordable brand with a long history of providing quality two-wheelers. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, Kent Bikes offers a range of options to fit your needs and budget. However, it is worth noting that their bikes are mostly aimed at the lower end of the market.

Kent Bikes are not designed for heavy off-road use and may not be suitable for high-performance cycling.

They are best suited for recreational riding, commuting, and light off-road use. However, some users report issues with the quality of certain components such as pedals and gears. More gears provide greater flexibility and make it easier to ride up hills. However, too many gears can make the bike heavier and more complex. Kent Bikes come in various wheel sizes, including 26 inches, 27.5 inches, and 29 inches. The larger the wheel size, the easier it is to roll over obstacles.
